To ensure that the actions of the trustees merit the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors as well as prospective donors have full confidence in our Foundation and the projects we support, we are committed to providing all donors with these rights:
- To be informed of the Foundation’s mission, of the way it uses its resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
- To be informed of the identity of those serving on the Foundation’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
- To have access to the Foundation’s most recent financial statements.
- To be assured their gifts will be directed for the purposes for which they were given.
- To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition (or alternatively, respect for their confidentiality and wish to remain anonymous).
- To be assured that information about one’s donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
- To expect that all relationships with individuals will be professional in nature.
- To be informed whether those seeking donations are liaisons, hired solicitors or employees of the Foundation.
- To have the opportunity for one’s name to be deleted from mailing lists that the Foundation’s might share.
- To freely ask questions when making a testament of any kind and receive a prompt, truthful and forthright answer.
